| Okay, so I was unable to update my Xanga everyday whilst in Florida, so I wrote everyday in WordPerfect and will post them when I come back. Why couldn’t I get access? Welllll, I could have but it would have cost me $9.95 per 24 hours that I would use it, and I am not going to be in the hotel room that much. Sorry guys.
So, I supposed I will start from the beginning. Becca came to pick me up from Spanish class around 9:30 pm and we headed south on I-77. We went out of Ohio, through West Virginia, and we stopped when we were in Virginia to potty and stretch, etc. We were definitely getting tired by then, but we were jamming to music. Mostly Panic! At the Disco. Haha yes, I have Becca liking them. And then we listened to the CD Kyle burnt for me! Thanks bud, you are effing great. Anyways we made it into North Carolina and Becca decided she needed a nap, so we stopped at a rest stop and took an almost two hour nap. Then we were off again. We stopped again in Georgia at a Waffle House, it was yummy. Becca was getting tired so she let me drive. Woo hoo. Then we finally got to Florida and as soon as someone found out we were getting the continuous round of, "are we there yet?" We finally got to Walt Disney World about 2:30 pm and we waited in line forever to get checked in. Then we carried all out stuff to our room and unpacked. HOLY CRAP! I packed wayyyy too much! Hahaha. I’m a dork, I know. Anyways, then we went to Animal Kingdom. That was pretty cool, but my vacation now has a kink in it. I, uh...started and so I was pretty pissed off with being a girl! Plus, we are supposed to go to Typhoon Lagoon tomorrow and I have to try to wear tampons. Every time I have attempted to wear them before, it hasn’t worked out so well. Oh well, we rode a few rides but we went to find our restaurant. We had reservations at the Concourse Steakhouse! It was delicious! We had Filet Mignon and it was terrific! And then with a double chocolate dessert, it was most definitely HEAVEN!! After dinner we looked at few shops then went to Downtown Disney for a while. We saw a lot of cool stuff, including Lego world where this kid was pretending to make out with a chick made completely of legos. Oh yes, Becca totally got a picture of it! Then, it was really chilly outside so we decided to head back to the hotel to crash, considering we were pretty much still zombies from the drive down. I showered, am writing this, and now I am going to sleep.
Okay, so we slept in this morning for a little while and then we got up and went to the Waterpark, Typhoon Lagoon. It was a blast. I got a good start on my tan, and we did lots of fun water rides and stuff. We even dove with sharks! Well, kind of... more like snorkeled... but it was freaking awesome! We hung around the park for awhile and then we went back to the hotel and got cleaned up for dinner. We had reservations at the Rainforest Café, which was delicious!! I had a ½ pound hamburger and fries and lots of yummy stuff. Then we walked around downtown some more, which was cool, because Becca and I devised a code system for hot guys...it’s freakin’ hilarious. We had to make a code system so that if they are standing nearby they don’t know what we are talking about, and if Shauna is there (which she is, of course) she’ll have no clue either. Which gets pretty funny when you see what code words we use. Okay, so here is the system...if we see a hott guy closer to my age we say "Mickey" haha as in like Mickey Mouse...which is funny, because considering we are at DisneyWorld no one thinks anything of it. Okay, so and then if they are a good lookin’ guy closer to Becca’s age...we call him a "Classic Mickey" and just "Classic" for short. Haha oh yes, it’s fun. Whenever we say it, Shauna spins around her head say where’s Mickey?. Oh and we made our way further down to Pleasure Island which is also very awesome. If I were 18 I could go to the nightclubs and partayyy. Haha and there were two green men on stilts and they were funny. I couldn’t decide if they were gay, or checking me out...haha it was one of the two. :-p. I won’t lie...this trip has been a tremendous confidence boost, because I have been checked out by sooo many guys. It is amazing, and it is only day two. Everyone is definitely have to look at all my pictures! I have taken so many already! I also have a sunburn, it isn’t too bad, but it makes me mad because I have never really had a burn before, and I’d prefer not to. I guess that’s what Ohio does to you. So, then we finished walking around and headed back to the hotel pretty late, I came here downloaded the pics, and am writing this journal about to crash again.
Okay, so we woke up this morning and got ready to go to Magic Kingdom, which was freaking awesome. Today was a great day! It was my favorite day so far. We got to Magic Kingdom and took pictures of the castle and such, which was more beautiful than I imagined. Then Becca and I took a picture of us in the shackles, like we were getting ready to be decapitated! Haha that was fun. Then we rode Haunted Mansion, which scared the crap out of Shauna. Then we rode a few rides in a few of the other sections and we had lunch at El Pirata y El Perico, which was a Mexican restaurant thingy. It was pretty good. Then we saw the Disney parade! It was my favorite event we’ve seen or done so far! It was truly magical. I loved every minute of it. It was really funny too, because there was this guy dressed up as a pirate and he stopped and said, "cheese!" and acted like he was mad at me because my camera didn’t flash, because I was videotaping the entire thing, and I tried to explain that I was videotaping, but he was like, "you don’t like me!" haha. Stupid pirate. Then we rode a few more rides, and took more pictures, and we left because we had dinner reservations at 4:30 at Wolf Gang Puck’s café, in which I had Filet Mignon again. Gosh, I love Disney. There was a really cute waiter there as well, and our waiter told him I thought he was cute, and I was embarrassed and didn’t talk to him much, and I was going to invite him out to watch the fireworks with me that night, but I chickened out. I figured it was Florida, what was there to lose? Plus, what happens in Florida, stays in Florida. BUT I was chicken shit, so we just went back to Magic Kingdom and rode more rides, we also watched this really awesome interactive 3-D show and got a picture of us in the goofy glasses and watched the fireworks (which I videotaped). There were extra magic hours, so we ended up not even leaving until pretty late (like 2 am). We rode Space Mountain pretty late because here was a super long line all day, so it was pretty sweet. It was one of the best rides so far. When we were walking out there was a really cute "Mickey" walking out as well, and we kind of walked at the same pace. I was also being a retard and trying to do heel clicks the whole way out and he was laughing at me. It ended up, he was actually staying in the hotel next to ours so I got the balls to talk to him at the bus stop and shocked the shit out of Becca. I just walked up and stuck out my hand and said, "Hi, My name is Karianne." haha. I didn’t even know where I got the courage to do that from. So, I talked to James on the bus and found out he was in Disney for a tennis tournament at the Wide World of Sports Complex. I ended up inviting him to watch a movie with me...we watched a little bit of SuperStar but he had to leave because his parents called to tell him that they had just arrived at the hotel from their flight. So, we exchanged numbers and he said he’d get ahold of me before we left Florida. I walked him outside the hotel room and he gave me a huge hug. He ended up texting me a few minutes after he left, and he told me how much he had wanted to kiss me. *giggle* Then Becca and I stayed up to hide Easter eggs for Shauna to find, yeah we know it’s a day late, but oh well. Shauna said she knew her mom hid them anyway. Haha. It was definitely a good way to spend Easter: granted I missed the good ol’ family dinner and missed my family, but I definitely love Disney. Well, another big day tomorrow. We are going to be at MGM studios. I don’t want my vacation to end. I have been loving it so far.
Woke up this morning, got ready and went to MGM studios. We knew we were going to try to do the Tower of Terror first, mainly because we wanted to get to it before the line got too long, but also so Becca wouldn’t have a chance to chicken out on me. We even rode it twice and it was sweet! It was probably the second best ride at Disney, we’ve ridden so far (I’ll write about the best later in this journal entry.) After we rode it, we looked at the pictures that are taken as we were getting dropped in the elevator, and I insisted on getting it because of the look of sheer terror on Becca’s face and on Shauna’s face it was a look of "what hell did you get me into?" and I was just kind of laughing at those two. Hehe. Then we watched a few of the shows and things, and we watched "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" which was really cool, Becca ended up being in the top 10 of the audience members, once we figured out how to use the remote things. It would have been so sweet if she could have played, because you could win a Disney cruise if you get the million points. Oh well, it was still really fun. We saw a really cool Little Mermaid show, which had multimedia stuff and it was my favorite as well as Becca’s. We had lunch at the Hollywood & Vine, which was a buffet kind of set up like a 50's diner. It was pretty decent, but definitely the least fancy restaurant we’ve eaten so far. We’ve definitely had better. Then we went to watch the Indiana Jones stunt show, and Becca was picked out of the audience to be an extra in the show! Which was really super cool! She got to meet and shake hands with Harrison Ford’s stunt double. I was super jealous. I would so do Harrison Ford if I had the chance, even though he is old enough to be my grandpa...haha you know Becca and I roll. I videotaped this show as well. We rode a really cool Star Wars ride, which I thought it was cool of course, because I am a huge nerd. We watched an animation thing, met Chicken Little and Abby Mallard, and then we drew Mickey Mouse, and we had a really cute drawing instructor! There are too many cute guys in Florida, don’t get me wrong...that ISN’T a bad thing. Becca and I decided you have to be good looking to work at Disney, okay there are quite a few exceptions to that rule, but in general..yeah. We walked around and walked through the Streets of America and took our picture flashing the peace sign. After we did that, we went to ride the Rock’n’Roller coaster, which was, by far, the best ride in Disney!! I loved it, and we would have done it again but Shauna whined and said it scared her, even though she giggled the entire first time we rode it. What a drama queen! :-p. Then we really wanted to watch Fantasmic! But there was no way we were going to get in to watch it. It was like a crazy mob waiting to get it, so we just left and went home and showered and am now going to bed.
So, today we got up all excited because today was Becca’s dive at Epcot...okay so Becca was super excited and Shauna and I were just kind of...eh. So we did a mission space thing, which was a flight simulator. It kind of made me sick, and I ended up having to take some tylenol. We did some shopping and I bought most of my souvenirs. We rode a few rides, and we rode a ride called Fast Track, in which I got my picture taken which a super kickass car. Oh yes. It was the shizzle. Then we went to do our character dining with Pluto, Mickey, Chip and Dale. I got my pictures taken with all of them, which I loved. I felt like a little kid again. I also tried catfish for the first time and it wasn’t bad. Then we went to do a Living with the Land ride, in which we learned on how to take care of the land and preserve the natural habitats of many animals, and also how they are trying to create new ways to grow plants and such. We also saw tanks of catfish, in which we learned we had just had some of that catfish for dinner. We did a energy ride with Ellen DeGeneres and Bill Nye the Science Guy, which was really neato. It was Disney, you kind of can’t complain about too much. Then it was pretty much time for Becca’s dive, so we parted ways and I was watching Shauna for awhile. We went to the Living Seas where Becca was going to dive, but we didn’t know how soon she was going to be in the water and it was really crowded in there, and I felt uncomfortable with it just being Shauna and I. I don’t think Becca would have been too happy if I would have lost Shauna...okay, she would have either been thrilled or pissed. Hahaha. At some time, I suggested that we put Shauna in a box and UPS her to her dad. Hehe. Anyways, Shauna and I ended up going back to the hotel and chilled. My feet were tired of walking and I still had a headache, so I lied down to rest and Shauna watched the televizzle. We took the bus back to Epcot a couple hours later and waited for Becca to get out of her dive. I was so excited I saw the fountain Cory and Topanga kissed in front of on Boy Meets World! It was sooo cute! I’m like I sooo remember this episode! In the meantime, James met up with me in Epcot and we rode a couple of ride. Then, I met back up with Becca when James had to go back and meet his parents and we walked around the countries and ate Chinese food, and we watched Illuminations, which was a fireworks and laser show, which was extremely beautiful and I tried to video tape that as well, but it didn’t turn out as well as I had hoped. We also had lots of fun in Italy taking pictures. It was so beautiful. Even though it was just a mock up of pretty monuments and such in the different countries. When we were in Japan, James text messaged me and said "meet me in Mexico." which just seemed really funny at the time. So, I met him up in Mexico and we rode a couple of boat rides, which was really cute and sweet. We watched Honey, I Shrunk the Audience, which was an awesome interactive 3-D show...it acts as if mice are let loose and you can feel them around your legs! We walked around some more and then the park was closing so his parents picked him up and I rode the bus back to the hotel and am going to sleep very shortly.
So today was our last day at Disney, and that was kind of disappointing I am going to miss it. I can’t wait to go back. It was truly an experience of a lifetime. Today, we got up and packed our crap and checked out of the hotel...and drove over to Blizzard Beach, Disney’s other waterpark. We floated in the lazy river, rode some awesome water slides, and tanned a lot. So, of course my shoulders started to peel this evening. GRR. Now I am going to have ugly shoulders for prom. Oh well, things happen. Anyways, Becca fell in love with Blizzard beach and she said it was her favorite place in Disney, because they played a lot of Jimmy Buffet songs throughout the park. Then we headed to the Boardwalk, and shortly after we got there Becca realized we lost her watch at Blizzard Beach so we called and had them look for it and thankfully they found it! So, we walked around the Boardwalk and went into Spoodles where we had dinner reservations at 8:30. We didn’t feel like waiting that long, and thankfully they let us in at 5 instead! Then, we started to drive to Crystal River, where we are going to swim with the Manatees! We saw a lot of funny signs on the way down! Haha it kinda reminded us of West Virginia mentality...(no offense.) The first thing we saw was a sign saying "Come celebrate Cinco de Mayo with us on May 6!" Haha, well in case you don’t know...Cinco de Mayo MEANS May 5. OMGoodness and the next sign was hilarious. We actually didn’t know what to think of it! It was an RV park and the sign said "Home of the Tongue Twister, RV Park." We were like...whoa. Haha. We also saw the most Republican license plate...It said "Choose Life," with an illustration of children on the side. *eye roll* The next sign definitely made us think we were in West Virginia. We were driving through a bunch of woods and we saw a sign sitting on the ground that said "Plants and Trees" with an arrow pointing towards the woods, we were like, yeah no shit. Hahaha. The intelligence of some people amaze me. I don’t know if it was just that we had a lot of boredom and found these things funny, or if the people were really that dumb. Maybe a little of both? OH! And we were driving through a swamp and saw this house that reminded us exactly of Momma’s house in Waterboy! It was like a spitting image! We also passed a sign that said "Statues Unlimited." That ended up being a lumber yard. HA. What the hell? There is also a river in Florida called the "Withlacoochee River." Haha yeah...just say that out loud. My favorite of all has to be the exterminator’s building we saw...A big neon sign that said "Bush pest control" with what looked like a louse of some sort on top! Hahahaha. I guess what happens in Florida, people don’t want to take home with them! :-p. So, after driving and making fun of the signs and such we got to our hotel. I was super excited because I finally had internet access! I decided not to update any of my journal entries yet though, because I figure I may as well wait until the end of vacation and post them all at once. It isn’t likely that anyone will read this anyway. So, we are planning to go to the beach tomorrow and then we have reservations to swim with the Manatees Friday. I think we are heading home on Friday after the Manatee thing. I don’t want to leave Florida though, maybe I can convince Becca to kidnap me and hide me in Florida. Or maybe she could just tell my mom she lost me? That would be great! I want to stay in Florida forever. Well, bedtime for me.
So, we woke up this morning and were being pretty lazy. We went to Denny’s which was super good, because I haven’t had Denny’s since I lived in Texas! That’s crazy...it’s almost ten years ago. And was it ever good! Then we decided to go to the strip mall that was further in town. I went to the Bealls outlet store and found one of the pretty skirts I had wanted all vacation. It was brown and soooo cute! I love it. It’s comfortable as well! I need to sew it now though, more about that later. *blush* Becca went to get her hair cut short again, because it was driving her bonkers. Then we decided to go to the mall in town. We didn’t think it was possible to have a mall smaller than the one in West Virginia, but it proved us wrong. It was the smallest mall I have ever seen in my entire life. It was really funny though, because their K-mart was attached to their mall! I was like holy crap! Haha. It was some funny stuff. Then we decided we’d head to the beach. It was nice, the water was so warm. I missed the Gulf of Mexico. After we got done playing around in the water, we decided to head back to the hotel to get ready to go to dinner. We decided we were going to try Crackers...a local restaurant. It was my favorite restaurant so far, for more reasons than one. The food was pretty good, I had Alligator for an appetizer, which I haven’t had since I was really little when my Aunt worked at the Mallard Inn in Texas. There was a Tiki Bar in the back, and a boat dock. It was a really nice atmosphere. Then, I saw the most gorgeous guy I had ever seen, EVER. Holy crap! We talked to him on the boat deck too, and OMG I totally wanted to melt. So, I convinced Becca to stay and have a drink so that I could possibly have a further chance to talk to him. It was quite funny actually, because when we were ordering out drinks a lady came over to talk to us, and it ended up being his mom! Who definitely didn’t look old enough to be his mom, but oh well. I had told Becca that I would pay for our drinks, so as we went to pay, the guy sitting next to us at the bar offered to pay for our drinks. I was so excited because that’s the first time a guy has ever bought me a drink before. It was awesome! *giggle* Anyways, the hott guys mom invited us to come to the end of the bar to talk, so we walked down there. There was a lady singing, so we were dancing and singing along with her. It was pretty cool. When Becca went to the restroom, Rich (the hott guy) started talking to me, asking me my name, and how old I was and so forth. I thought I was going to have to kick my own ass, when I told him how old I really was. But I don’t like liars, so I don’t lie. But I told him to come down to the dock so I could talk to him, and I told him I would come back when I was 18, because that’s what his mom said to do.
So, we woke up this morning too early, at 5:45. We were on our way to swim with the Manatees. I was more excited as to what was going to happen after we swam with the Manatees, I thought I was going to see Rich again, but that proved to be disappointing. Okay, back to the Manatees...it was really cool. I was really nervous, because I am not the greatest swimmer, but it turned out really well. I got play with the Manatee and I scratched his belly! He was a complete ham and loved the attention! Then I got nervous being surrounded by all those people so I got back on the boat and watched Becca and Shauna dive. The baby Manatee even tried to nurse on Becca it was so adorable, then I made fun of Becca for that being the most action she had in two weeks! Haha. Poor Becca. I got plenty of action last night...okay so I feel a little bad about that but mainly for reasons further to be explained later. Anyways, we got done with the Manatees and went back to the hotel and I tried to call Sydnie but she ended up having to take her mother to the doctor and was unable to take us out to Three Sisters. And noon rolled around and I was super disappointed because Rich never called. I wanted to keep the promise I made and not skip town, so Becca drove around trying to find their house, but it proved an unsuccessful venture, so we ended up heading north. We called Sydnie and thanked her for the opportunity, and she told us to look her up next time we were in town, which I will most definitely do, so I can hopefully see Rich again. She said she would tell him we called, but I honestly doubt that. So we drove a long time, and I slept most of the time, mostly because I was worn out from last night, but also I believe I was a little heart broken. I believe this is the closest I have come to love at first site. :-/. Why do I have to be such a loser? Oh well. Shit happens. Anyways, we ended up in South Carolina and we are staying at a Motel Six, which has the most comfortable beds so far. So I showered and I am about to crash again. I went out to get a Dr. Pepper and I saw that they had a condom in the vending machine right next to the Funyuns! I’m like WTF?! Haha. Okay, bedtime.
So, this morning Becca woke us up entirely too early. It was like 7:20 when I checked the clock, but I’ll live. Now that we are on our way home, I know it is inevitable that I am going home, and the Florida vacation is over. It sucks, but it is beginning to be time to face reality. Then, we went to IHOP, which I had never been to, and had really great pancakes. We have been driving ever since, and we are going to stop in Beckley so I can go to a Starbucks, because I’ve never been to one of those either! MMM... it’s gonna be good.
Okay, so I definitely loved Florida and can’t wait to go back, even though I missed everyone!!
