The Cloyne Anomaly

It is heartening to see some dissenting voices. That there are still people here who will make waves and stand up against this terrible situation.

This site..

http://clericalwhispers.blogspot.com/2008/12/churchs-reputation-set-back-years-by.html

See the newer items on the side bar as they come in.

There is no penitence. Arrogance still.. shouting that he will only quit if the Pope tells him to; well, so be it. That needs to be done.

And that lone voice, of the 71 year old Augusitinian Friar - God bless Monastics - who strode out in the darkest winter days, in all the gales and frost, and towards the end of his pilgrimage, gathered more and more. To be embraced by the Archbishop on the cathedral steps.

And who told Bishop McGee quite literally where to go and how to get there. Face to face.

Well done, Father; bravo... amen. God love you...

It reminds of God speaking about the destruction of Sodam and Gomorrah... Can we find even one good man to save it from destruction?

It is but a few years since the Augustinians were severely chastised by Holy Mother Church, from the Vatican itself, for an Easter Concelabration with an Anglican Rector.

A glorious occasion in a crowded Church.

Up went the outraged cries of heresy etc etc etc. This Nun got "excommunicated" from a forum for praising the Friars.

They were forced by public humiliation to make a major apology, and one Friar was sacked from his academic post in Rome.

And now?

A Bishop who has  sanctioned ongoing abuse, broken all the Church rules.. Still sits in his palace.. and still saying mass?

And no one will depose him?

Is not this a millionfold worse?

A bishop, leader of a large flock, who has turned away from Jesus in every sense that matters.

Because that is what has happened here.

A falling Church has become some kind of old boys network. A club. Which cares only about its own.

Their apologies are hollow and derisory.

They got caught, simply.

In the next weeks, the dark revelations of cruelty and abuse in the institutions run by religious orders here will come out.

And the stench rises to heaven.

Where there should be the sweet savour of incense...

Ireland; where thousands died for the Catholic faith. And now the utter anomaly that it is the "leaders" of the Holy Church who are destroying it more surely and permanently than any invading Vikings or English ever managed to do.

The enemy is within the gates.

And they have pushed Jesus away.

They heed not nor follow His Words, Who is Word.

Matthew 18 teaches us how to deal with offences. Sure and simple.

But there is nothing spiritual or holy in these men now. All that has gone. No Jesus there.

So, here, we stay quietly, as we always do. Affirming when need be that we are not an Irish Order and that we abhor what is going on.

That never in all our years and decades have we done wrong as has been done here.

As we already say to all who look at us with that disgust in their  wounded eyes.

Wearing the Holy Habit of Religion in Ireland is not easy.. Yet sometimes we can avail. Please God so.

Blessings this dark day

Darkness gathers and grows as those things which were hidden are brought to the light.

This site; scroll down and it gets darker and darker.

More children abused and fobbed off in Cloyne.

And the machinations and defiance even now of  the Bishops.

The deliberate method of it all. Not weakness.

Shame of Ireland; betrayers of the Light they are supposed to shine.

Sweet Jesus...

Eyes blur with the tears of it all.

Wednesday..

Amuses how xanga and the time zones affect days..

Progress...

http://breakingnews.iol.ie/news/ireland/mhsnmhmhojey/

They are being shamed into this.

It should not be like that.

And yet to come is the full report from the Dublin archdiocese.

Cloyne...

As the New Year opens, more and more are calling for the Bishop of Cloyne to resign.

More and more is being revealed of the attempts made to withhold the report.

What thought for the children here?

So much corruption...

                  *********************************

Here, the freezing weather continues to bite, with respite due at the weekend - as it was last weekend to no avail.

Each blade of grass and twig is hoar-white.

The birds come in for food now; so bread and fruit and fat are there for them. Sweet songsters.

Blessings this day

A murmuration of starlings...

This caught my eye last week

http://www.rte.ie/news/2008/1201/starlings.html

We cannot access the video on the basic laptop; hoping that you can.

They are raucous, greedy birds, and great mimics. One place we lived had a great flock and used to make the sound of the 'phone, and of our peacocks.

Google images gave more dramatic photos.

But, yes, the terrible mess they leave behind belies and earths their drama.

I had forgotten their formation until I saw this news item; and google has so many of these images now. Even more under "starlings" by itself.

The second from top shows starlings fleeing a peregine falcon.

I must stop; but there are so many of these strange shapes and formations imaged.

They are not attractive birds, with their oily looking feathers.

But the flights.....

Always a beauty; always the breath caught in wonder...Jesus Creator, we thank Thee mightily always.

Blessings this night. Such a pretty day now, but we are due -6 tonight and again for the next week they say. Summer will come.
